Season’s Greetings: Your Last-Minute Holiday Prep Just Got Easier!

Your Commissary wants to make your holiday shopping easier and relieve the pressure of the holiday rush. That’s why we’ve announced that our stores will operate under a holiday schedule, starting Dec. 24!

This means that many of the commissaries normally closed on Mondays will be open on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and again on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, expanding available shopping hours for customers preparing their holiday feasts or looking for that last-minute stocking stuffer.

(Please note that all commissaries will be closed on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, in observance of these federal holidays.)

“We hope that our schedule helps customers maximize their commissary benefit and save money over the holidays!”

-Tracie Russ, DeCA’s Director of Sales

As always, we encourage you to check the “Store Information & Holiday Hours” box on your store’s web page for its specific operating schedule.

You may also want to let the other authorized commissary customers in your life know about our holiday schedule, in case they’re in need of any last-minute reinforcements for their holiday festivities!

Happy Holidays!

And as the end of another year draws near, we want to take a second to say once again how honored we are to be a part of the military community and serve the best customers in the world: the men and women of the United States military and their eligible family members.

We appreciate your service to our nation and hope that your commissary benefit and this holiday schedule will help make your holiday season a little less hectic, so you can focus on gathering with your loved ones and creating memories for years to come.

Will you be making use of this expanded holiday schedule? Let us know in the comments below!

As the Agency's Consumer Advocate, my focus is always on you, our valued customers, who have earned this benefit. If you are randomly selected to take the CCSS at Your Commissary, then I encourage you to take the time – if you can spare it – to provide thoughtful responses to the survey, through whichever method you feel most comfortable using.
