Camp Humphreys Commissary Now Open

The new Camp Humphreys Commissary recently opened its doors, and we could not be prouder to welcome our customers to this upgraded facility! The 44,000 square foot store offers roughly four times the space of the previous store, making it the largest commissary in the Pacific Theater!

The additional space and fresh, modern design will help us to meet the needs of the post’s growing population and improve our customers’ shopping experiences by offering features such as:

  • Extensive produce, meat, frozen, dairy and chill departments
  • 15 registers
  • Free in-store wireless internet
  • International deli & bakery

The space was also designed in an environmentally-friendly, energy-efficient way.

The new store was embraced by customers, hundreds of whom braved the cold South Korean weather as they lined up, eagerly waiting for the doors to open on February 7.

“It’s amazing – it’s like a super grocery store! With the larger selection, my family can enjoy so much more of the food we love.”

-Chief Warrant Officer 3 Neikesha Thompson, commissary customer

The commissary benefit exists to support service members and military families around the world, and this new store is just one more example of that. But it’s not only the facilities that make a difference – it’s the people.

“The store layout is designed to give the customer a pleasant shopping experience on every visit and our staff is eager to help customers locate things in the store. It’s not enough to just have a new store. We want to provide superior service to go with it.”

-Myong Brown, Camp Humphreys Commissary Store Director

Even if you’re not located near this new commissary, we can all appreciate the excitement of a new store like this! What do you like most about shopping at Your Commissary? Check out these pictures from the grand opening and please share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
